A back injury suffered towards the end of the 2009 season saw Brodie miss the 2009 finals series has forced him to retire from football at the age of 22. Brodie made his league debut in 2004 and played 84 league games and 4 Seconds games.
Brodie is a two time league premiership player in 2007 & 2008. He was a very competitve and skilled centre half forward who was a focal point up forward. Vice captain of the Club in 2008 & 2009. Brodie played the game fairly and gave his all.
