Port under 18's appeared in their 5th consecutive grand final which in itself is a great achievement. Kicking with the breeze in the last quarter they battled hard but were unable to overcome the Lions three quarter time lead to lose by 7 points.
Full credit to the players as earlier in the year we had lost to Lions by over 100 points. The return of a number of players from the league side and North Adelaide boosted the side dramatically.
Credit to the coaches Graham Hoile and Matt Gale for their efforts. Graham Hoile in particular has coached the under 18's in the last 5 grand finals and his efforts in developing our thirds is outstanding.
