Port full forward Matt Gale has won the 2009 South Australian AFL School Ambassador of the Year for Secondary Schools. The award includes an all expenses trip to Melbourne for two to the Geelong v Collingwood game which Matt will be unavailable to attend as he lines up for the crucial game against Central Augusta in the second semi final at Port Augusta.
The Club congratulates Matt on this outstanding achievement and his support of indigenous football is to be complimented.
Matt has had an outstanding year on the football field having won the Ken Mitchell leading goal kicking award with 74 goals.
