There are four cricket pitches laid on the Port Oval and they have proven to be of a very high standard. The Wandearah Cricket Club were resonsible for laying the pitches and achieved this with a number of working bees. During the 2007/2008 season over 70 games of cricket were played ranging from school cricket, under age, senior cricket, 20/20 games and combined games.
The lazer leveled surface has created a predictable outfield.
