18 years as an office bearer of the Port Club, a Club record. Kevin was made a life member of the Club in 1953 and became the seventh life member of the Port Football Club. Port Football Club were premiers 8 times during Kevin's time as an office bearer of the Club and he was Chairman of selectors in 1966 & 1967 when the Club won Premierships with Bob Hammond as coach. Kevin was the person who arranged for the Club to purchase the swamp land that is now our Club and Oval. He like many others worked countless hours on building the old rooms which was built from volunteer labour and opened in 1948. Kevin was the main instigator and organiser for the extensions to the old rooms made in the 1960's. He was heavily involved in the organising of the construction of the oval and the watering system which involved the water pipe being the top pipe of the than oval fence.  Kevin was a very good footballer who was affectionately known as "Bruiser" for his straight ahead style. He was though known as one the fairest footballers of his time. Kevin played in the 1937 St. Marks Premiership side and played league football with Port in the 1940's. Kevin had a brother Jack who won the Recorder Medal in 1937 & 1939 for St. Marks. Jack was captain of St.Marks from 1937 to 1939 with St. Marks being premiers in 1937 & 1939.
