On the 26th September 2012 the Club had the "Turf Barber" on the Oval relevel the area around the cricket pitch. Since installing the turf cricket pitch the rolling of the pitch in summer has seen it sink leaving the edges higher and causing water to pond. The "Turf Barber" took off about 50mm around the pitch and this will allow excess water to drain. Cricket should reume at the Port Oval in late October.
